Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have secured 80% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2026 conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).

• Students in the Betterment or Reappearance category are not eligible.
• Students studying outside Assam are also eligible if they possess a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Assam.

Discontinuation of the Free Scooty Scheme

From the next academic year, the Government plans to discontinue the scooter distribution scheme and utilize the allocated funds to strengthen and expand the Nijut Moina Scheme and Nijut Babu Scheme, allowing a larger number of deserving students to benefit from educational assistance.
