Overview – SSUHS GNM Admission 2025

Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released the official notice for GNM Admission 2025 in Assam.

Eligible candidates can apply for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses at government and private training centers for the 2025–2026 academic session.
The GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2025 will be held on 13th July 2025 at various locations across Assam.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam GNM Admission 2025
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet one of the following:

#10+2 with English and at least 40% in the qualifying examination, with English as a separate subject, from a recognized board.
Candidates from State Open School or NIOS are also eligible.
Science stream is preferred.

# 10+2 with English and at least 40% in a vocational ANM course recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.


#10+2 with English and at least 40% in the Vocational Stream – Healthcare Science from CBSE, State, or Central boards.

Registered ANM with passing marks.

Age Limit
Minimum: 17 years
Maximum: 35 years (as of 31st December 2025)

No age limit for RANM/ RLHV candidates.


Other Criteria
Must be medically fit.
Must be an Indian citizen.
PRC is required for admission to government institutes.
