ASSAC Vacancy Details 2025

1. Project Scientist

  • No. of Posts: 02 (Agriculture Assessment and Fisheries Resource Mapping)
  • Remuneration: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
  • Qualification: First Class Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Agricultural Science (with specialization in Agronomy or Soil Science), Geography (specialization in RS & GIS), Zoology (specialization in Fish Biology & Fisheries Science), or an equivalent discipline.
  • Desirable: Experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS, UAV.
  • Age Limit: Max 35 years (as on 01/01/2025).

2. Project Scientist (IT)

  • No. of Posts: 02 (Mobile App & Customized Web Portal Development)
  • Remuneration: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
  • Qualification:
    • M.Tech/M.E./MCA/M.Sc. in Remote Sensing/GIS/Geoinformatics/Computer Science/IT OR
    • B.E./B.Tech in CSE/IT/Geoinformatics/Geomatics with relevant experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in Mobile App, Web Portal Development, Big Data, AI/ML, GeoServer, Python/JavaScript, ArcGIS, SQL Database, Dashboard Analytics.
  • Age Limit: Max 35 years.

3. Project Scientist (Forestry & Ecology)

  • No. of Posts: 01 (Agro-forestry Site Suitability & Tree Carbon Estimation)
  • Remuneration: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
  • Qualification:
    • 1st Class Master’s in Forestry/Botany with Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics OR
    • M.Tech in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS/Spatial Information Science with relevant Forestry & Ecology experience.
  • Desirable: RS & GIS application in Forestry and Ecological Studies.
  • Age Limit: Max 35 years.

4. Project Scientist (LULC & Border Monitoring)

  • No. of Posts: 01 (Border Monitoring, LULC Change Analysis & AI Applications)
  • Remuneration: ₹54,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
  • Qualification:
    • 1st Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Geoinformatics/RS & GIS/Geospatial Technology OR
    • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with RS & GIS Diploma OR
    • M.Sc. in Geography/Earth Science with RS & GIS Diploma.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Satellite Data Processing (Sentinel-1 & 2)
    • QGIS, ArcGIS, SNAP, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI
    • Google Earth Engine (GEE), Python/JavaScript
    • AI/ML-based Geospatial Tools
    • Web GIS, Geo Web Portals Development
